Simonton Windows: Product Lines, Regional Warranties and Impact Options
Simonton makes vinyl windows with warranties that differ by region and product line, including whether labor and glass breakage are covered. Here's what its documents say.
Who Simonton is and how it sells
Simonton's site and warranty state that it is part of Cornerstone Building Brands. We did not find a primary page describing its dealer network or installer model, so ask any seller who installs the windows.
Product lines and materials
Every Simonton window we found is vinyl. Its site lists the 5500 Collection, 5050, Asure, 9800, ComfortSmart, Brickmould, Builder and Contractor lines, DaylightMax for the West region, and StormBreaker Plus impact windows for the East region. Simonton says it has been an ENERGY STAR partner since 1999, and its page for the West region says its glass packages meet ENERGY STAR guidelines in all regions and Title 24 standards.

What the warranties say
Terms differ by line and region. The East-region 5500/5050 Lifetime Limited Warranty we read (purchases on or after July 1, 2026) covers vinyl, hardware and screens for life for residential holders, with glass at 20 years to lifetime (prorated) for the 5500 and 20 to 50 years (prorated) for the 5050. Labor costs are not included, and the vinyl, hardware and screens coverage transfers once.
The West-region DaylightMax and Madeira warranty (purchases on or after March 31, 2025) covers vinyl, hardware and glass for life including glass breakage, pays labor, and transfers once, but is valid only for products installed in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii, up to three stories. The Builder and Contractor limited lifetime warranty (2022) lasts as long as the customer lives in the home, is not transferable, and does not cover labor or glass breakage.
StormBreaker Plus is stated to meet Missile D testing, and select windows are described as certified for Miami-Dade and Broward's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone; confirm the specific product approval for your address. Warranty terms change by edition and product line. This guide summarizes the documents we read; always get the current warranty for the exact series you're quoted.
What about price?
Simonton is sometimes described as low-priced, but we found no authoritative price comparison across brands, so we don't make that claim. For general ranges see our cost breakdown, and compare the exact warranty for your region in our Milgard vs. Simonton comparison.
