Milgard Windows: Product Lines, Warranty Terms and the Full Lifetime Upgrade
Milgard's standard warranty is a lifetime limited warranty, and a Full Lifetime Warranty is an optional upgrade on select lines. Here's what its current documents actually say.
Who Milgard is and how it sells
Milgard's site footer lists MILGARD Manufacturing, LLC and a MITER Brands dealer portal, and Anlin states that it is a MITER Brands member. We could not read an ownership page on Milgard's own site.
Milgard says its Certified Dealers match homeowners with windows and connect them with installers. The dealer locator results we saw were in California, Oregon and Washington, and warranty labor coverage is tied to a Service Territory.
Product lines and materials
Milgard's site lists vinyl windows (V400 Tuscany, V300 Trinsic, V250 Style Line), the C700 fiberglass line, A250 thermally improved aluminum, and patio doors. Secondary sources report that C700 replaced the older Ultra fiberglass line in January 2026; Milgard's own pages still mention Ultra in places.
What the warranties say
We read Milgard's warranties, all effective January 1, 2026. The standard Replacement Product Lifetime Limited Warranty gives the original owner-occupant a lifetime frame warranty; other owners, including later owners and rental owners, get 10 years. The insulated glass seal is covered for 20 years, hardware and finishes for 10 years, and weatherstripping and screens for 1 year. Skilled labor and shipping are covered only for claims within 10 years of manufacture and only inside Milgard's Service Territory, and glass breakage is not covered.
The optional Full Lifetime Warranty applies only to V400 Tuscany, V300 Trinsic and C700, must be purchased at the time of sale in the Service Territory, covers the original owner for as long as they own and live in the home, and cannot be transferred. It covers the frame, glass seal, hardware and non-specialty glass breakage, with labor and shipping paid.
Older descriptions of a standard "full lifetime" Milgard warranty that includes glass breakage don't match these documents. Warranty terms change by edition and product line. This guide summarizes the documents we read; always get the current warranty for the exact series you're quoted.
What to ask before you buy
Ask whether the Full Lifetime upgrade is available and priced for your line, and whether you're inside the Service Territory. See Simonton for a different approach in our Milgard vs. Simonton comparison, our brand comparison, and our installer vetting questions.
